Fireplace Gas Aged

Regular gas fireplace maintenance?

I have a Superior DS-36R gas fireplace in the house we just rented a few weeks ago; don’t know the age or installation date. The blower (assuming there’s one in there) never comes on and the glass front is clouded. Can anyone point me to a website/mfr with a users manual or share from experience? I would like to take the glass off to clean as well as troubleshooting the fan.

you can clean the glass with oven cleaner,by leaving it on for a while and wash it off with soapy water.assume the unit is as old as the house is,unless it was remodeled.also they might not have connected the blower up to the electricity. you may have to run power to it.use a vacuum cleaner to suck the dust off the unit
