Log Heater
We’ve just moved into a place with what we think is a vented gas log heater. How do we light it?
On the bottom of the fireplace there should be a panel that opens. Inside there should be a knob that says off, pilot,on. There also should be a igniter button you push and it snaps and produces a spark on pilot assembly in fireplace push button and make sure it sparks then turn control knob until the word pilot lines up with little red tab on valve then push knob in and snap igniter button until pilot lites this may take a while depending on how long fireplace has sat not used. If pilot lites continue holding knob in for 30-45 seconds and then let knob out if pilot stays lit turn knob to on you may have to push knob and turn to do this. If pilot does not stay lit get a tech to come out and service fireplace.
